Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Dintor or Denge Village, the gateway to your trek, immersing yourself in the local landscape and preparing for the adventure ahead. The highlight of your trip will be the rewarding trek to Waerebo Village, a remote traditional village nestled amidst lush mountains, where you’ll witness the iconic Mbaru Niang cone-shaped houses, a testament to the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Day 1
LABUAN BAJO – DINTOR – DENGE – WAEREBO (L, D)
Morning pick-up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo, then drive for about 4.5 hours to Dintor Village, passing beautiful landscapes and photo stops along the way. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Dintor. After lunch, continue to Denge Village, the starting point for your 2.5-hour trekking journey through lush rainforests to Waerebo Village. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the village chief with a traditional ceremony. Explore the unique Mbaru Niang cone-shaped houses while learning about the local Manggarai culture. Dinner and overnight at the villagers communal house.
Day 2
WAEREBO – DENGE – DINTOR – LABUAN BAJO (B, L)
Wake up early to experience the peaceful morning atmosphere of Waerebo Village. After breakfast, trek back down to Denge Village, then transfer to Dintor for lunch. The journey continues back to Labuan Bajo with several photo stops along the way. Arrive in the afternoon and drop off at your hotel.
